India Bartender Week

India Bartender Week (IBW) is being held in conjunction with Hanna Lee Communications’ Worldwide Bartender Week. Born from a casual catch-up with Hanna Lee and Michael Anstendig, this initiative has now made its way to India’s shores. India Bartender Week will be spearheaded by industry stalwarts – Vikram Achanta, Minakshi Singh, and Yangdup Lama. India Bartender Week is more than just an event – it’s a movement that celebrates the craft of bartending while focusing on innovation, community, and global networking. A place where conversations ignite, ideas flourish, and connections come alive over clinking glasses – this is the true spirit of IBW. Set to debut in February 2025 in Gurgaon, this week-long celebration will unite India’s bar community, spotlighting the nation’s unique talent on the world stage.

Why Bartender Week in India?

For years, Indian Bartenders have had no single platform to showcase their skills and creativity. India, with its rich history, is a treasure trove of flavours, traditions, and hospitality, perfect for creating unforgettable cocktails and bar programs. From the spices of Delhi’s markets to the native ingredients from the mountains, Indian bartenders have an arsenal that’s second to none. The bar industry in India is growing at breakneck speed, with new talent emerging from the biggest cities to the smallest towns. We aim for this to become a magnet for the bar community, not only across South Asia but also extending its reach to the Middle East and the rest of Asia.

This platform is a canvas for India’s bar professionals to learn, innovate, and shine. At its heart, IBW is about storytelling – uncovering personal inspiration, ingredients, and experimentation behind great cocktails. It brings together bar owners, bar managers, bartenders, hoteliers, and influencers under one roof to help build a resilient and thriving bar community.
