Comte de Grasse is a melting pot of vision, extreme passion, and a hard-headed insistence on creating sustainable luxury spirits. Headquartered in the world's fragrance capital and established in 2017 by Bhagath Reddy, the company was founded from a keen observation of two parallel industries – perfume and spirits – both traditionally relying on Copper-Pot stills for distillation.
With an aim to reinvent the creation of spirits from an age-old industry to a more dynamic and sustainable future, the distillery introduces cutting-edge technology and traditional fragrance extraction methods to the spirit distilling world.
The Distillery
Observing the wealth of unique botanicals and local expertise the French Riviera offers, Comte de Grasse set up its distillery in a 19th-century perfumery - Roure Bertrand & Fils. This historic building, though traditional in appearance, conceals modernity within. Its emblematic earth-red chimney towers over the Provençal landscape as a symbol of both heritage and the future.
With a unique, three-step process, 44°N Gin is crafted using a combination of sonic waves and ultra-low temperature distilling - to extract fresh flavours that surprise the palette. The name 44°N comes from the latitude of Grasse and results from a 15-month R&D process involving a comprehensive study of 200 botanicals and extracts.
A 100% French Vodka Rose’, 06 is derived from the natural beauty of Provence, combined with modern distillation and extraction methods. Using a liquid-to-liquid extraction process with state-of-the-art distillery equipment like Ultrasonic Maceration, this Super-Premium vodka is created using an extract of the finest Organic Rosé wine from Chateau Vert, AOP ‘Côte de Provence,’ which is infused into smooth, French winter wheat Vodka to create a spirit that recreates the allure of the French Riviera on your taste buds.
